The Amawalk Outlet  is a good place to escape the crowds and search out trout.   The water flows down from the Amawalk Reservoir  down to the Muscott Reservoir, all which is part of the NYC Watershed and requires both a valid NYS Freshwater Fishing License as well as a NYC Water Shed permit.  Depending on the time of year, you can follow the hatch to determine the best fly presentation. The Outlet is normally stocked yearly with Brown Trout.  Annually, approximately 800 were stocked between the Amawalk Outlet and Inlet.
