FISHING FOR CARP WITH HAIR RIGS AND PINEAPPLE ICE CREAM BOILIES

While visiting  Bash Bish Falls, State Park in Massachusetts a while ago, I had the opportunity to meet Edwin, an avid Carp Fisherman. CARP FISHING has long been popular in Europe and has found a renewed interest in the states, with many fly fishermen targeting carp these days.

Edwin caught his 20lb COMMON CARP (Cyprinus carpio) at Batterson Pond in New Britain, Connecticut.  Edwin’s catch fell victim to a standard hair rig loaded with a 15 mm pineapple ice cream boilie.

Boilies are a popular form of carp bait that come in many different varieties.  Edwin has his own recipe for his boils, which he may share with the Clique in the future, stay tuned……

Looking forward to accompanying Edwin on some carp fishing trips. Welcome to the Clique, Edwin.
